Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality, client-centered care across a variety of healthcare and wellness settings. This role is ideal for an empathetic OTA who is passionate about supporting individuals of all ages in achieving their highest level of mental wellness and functional independence. Scheduling Flexibility:
Flexible scheduling available Key Responsibilities Implement therapeutic interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT). Support clients in achieving individualized treatment goals focused on mental wellness, functional performance, and meaningful participation in daily life activities. Provide intervention across the lifespan using evidence-based mental health and functional strategies. Collaborate with clients and families to promote independence and engagement in daily routines and roles. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, licensed professional counselors, chemical dependency counselors, nurse practitioners, personal trainers, and massage therapists. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Preferred Qualifications Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing. Experience with mental health interventions across the lifespan, including but not limited to: Sensory processing Coping strategies for anxiety and depression Anger management Social skills training Parenting skills Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Interoception training Healthy living (nutrition and exercise) Time management strategies Study skills and organization strategies Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
