Job description: Pickerington Care and Rehab in Pickerington, OH is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing In-House therapy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and motivated clinician looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. Pickerington Care and Rehab is a premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Pickerington, Ohio, amidst the bustling Hill Road strip. Surrounded by scenic golf courses and metro parks, our facility offers an ideal environment for both short-term and long-term care. Our 96-bed facility features private and semi-private rooms, a beautiful courtyard with flat walking surfaces, and a full schedule of activities designed to enhance your experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers Monitor patient response to treatment intervention Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition. Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results. Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques. Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients. Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility. Advising patients on exercise techniques. Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options. Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health. Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Documenting patient care history. Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited Occupation Therapy Assistant program. Current COTA license in the state of employment. CPR certification required. Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred. Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles, restorative care, and geriatric populations. Knowledge of Medicare Part A, Part B, and managed care preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. All inquiries will be held confidential
