Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Community Skilled Health Care Centre Make a difference every day by helping our residents regain independence and improve their quality of life! Community Skilled Health Care Centre is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team. The COTA will provide skilled occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist while helping residents achieve their functional goals.
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy treatments according to established care plans and physician orders Assist residents in improving functional abilities, mobility, independence, and quality of life Implement therapeutic activities designed to improve daily living skills Monitor resident progress and communicate changes with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team Document treatments, resident responses, and progress accurately and timely Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other departments to support resident-centered care Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license/certification Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Why Join Community Skilled Health Care Centre?
