Job Description

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location:
Newtown Square, PA (Delaware County)
Timeframe:
26-27
School Year Snapshot:
We are seeking an engaging, pediatric COTA to work 2 days/week with elementary school students in one school. Additional opportunities to work with preschool students are available if a full schedule is desired. Job Summary  An Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides school-based therapy services to students from preschool through 12th grade. This role focuses on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional participation in the classroom through direct therapy, IEP implementation, and collaboration with school teams.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students (PreK-12) Develop and implement IEP goals and individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student success Complete required documentation , including: Progress notes Data collection IEP updates and annual reviews Participate in IEP meetings as needed Support student development in areas such as: Fine motor skills Sensory integration Activities of daily living (ADLs) Travel between school locations during the school day (if applicable)
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Assistant License, Certified by NBCOT Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential  Benefits of Working with
