Job Description

Step into a meaningful part-time opportunity supporting elementary students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within a welcoming school environment. This contract role offers immediate start through the end of May, focusing on providing school-based OT services to students aged 3-11. As a key member of a collaborative special education team, you'll contribute to student growth and independence while enjoying the flexibility of a 2-3 day workweek. Your expertise in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy will help young learners thrive both academically and personally.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
Current COTA certification, with all required state credentials Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations Familiarity with IEP processes, data collection, and progress reporting Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families Ability to manage a dynamic caseload efficiently and adapt to the needs of diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services to elementary students under the supervision of an OT Assist with evaluation processes and contribute to treatment planning Implement therapeutic interventions in classroom, group, and individual settings Maintain accurate documentation of goals, session notes, and progress Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support IEP objectives Communicate progress and strategies to staff and caregivers This position offers the chance for work-life balance through part-time scheduling and the satisfaction of making a measurable difference in children's lives.
