Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Full-Time, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our geriatric patients. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care at our skilled nursing facility. Your expertise will help geriatric patients achieve their therapy goals and regain independence through tailored interventions. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), promoting independence and functional skills. Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists, ensuring adherence to prescribed therapies. Facilitate patient care by assisting with mobility, manual handling, and patient transport within various healthcare settings. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals such as physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists to optimize client outcomes. Maintain accurate care documentation, progress notes, and treatment records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support comprehensive patient care in our skilled nursing facility. Experience Proven experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or in geriatrics to deliver specialized occupational therapy services. Prior inpatient experience in hospitals or skilled nursing facilities demonstrating ability to manage acute care needs is a plus. Familiarity with medical imaging procedures and understanding of care plans related to complex medical conditions. Hands-on experience assisting with care documentation, caregiver communication, and client communication in skilled nursing facilities. Pay:
$29.00 - $38.00 per hour
