Job Description
Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Launch your next opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) dedicated to enriching the lives of students in a supportive educational setting. This full-time contract role is based at a single school site and starts on August 27th, with service continuing until a permanent direct hire is in place. You'll work alongside an Occupational Therapist (OT), contributing your skills and compassion to help students thrive. Working hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, providing a stable weekday schedule.
Key Qualifications:
Valid COTA license Previous experience in a school-based setting required Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with OTs, staff, and students Confidence in supporting individualized student goals and participating in team meetings Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to a dynamic school environment
What You'll Do:
Deliver direct therapy services to students under the supervision of the OT Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals as written by the OT Support data collection and documentation of student progress Modify activities and materials to meet diverse student needs Work closely with school staff to foster an inclusive learning atmosphere Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for school-based therapy
