Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into an engaging contract position as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students across a district-wide K-12 caseload for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in the Lakebay, WA area, requiring travel between multiple buildings to ensure comprehensive support for students' needs. Make a significant impact by collaborating with educators and special education teams to help students thrive academically and developmentally.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
Active Washington (WA) COTA license and NBCOT certification School-based and/or special education experience strongly preferred Ability to travel between multiple school buildings within the district Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills Commitment to upholding ethical standards and providing quality care in an educational setting
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and other educational staff to create supportive, goal-driven environments Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and legal requirements Participate in meetings with families, teachers, and related support personnel to ensure effective service delivery Adapt interventions to fit varying developmental levels across K-12 populations This position offers a dynamic schedule during standard school hours (35 hours per week, 7 hours per day), the chance to work with diverse student populations, and professional growth alongside dedicated educators.
