Job Description

At Visionary Retina Center, we are excited to welcome a medical staff member to join our new and growing ophthalmology/retina practice. We are looking for a highly motivated and professional individual who is hard-working, courteous, and genuinely enjoys patient care. Our ideal candidate takes pride in their work and thrives as part of a team that values integrity and excellence. This position offers the opportunity to start part-time with the potential to transition to full-time as we grow. Led by a highly respected retina specialist, our practice is located in the City of Calabasas with no travel requirement to multiple offices. The new staff team member will serve mainly as an ophthalmic technician.

Responsibilities include:

Able to accurately obtain and record pertinent health-related information in EMR system per physician requirements and standards Perform diagnostic tests, including OCT, fundus photos, fluorescein angiography Accurately check visual acuity and intraocular pressure and administer eye drops Facilitate a smooth clinical workflow Prepare for intravitreal injections and laser procedures Assist physician in performing procedures, if requested Clean exam rooms and equipment according to standard and stock and document inventory Participate in cross-training or other company-required training Responsibilities are subject to change at the discretion of the

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent or vocational education and training

•

Experience:

1+ year experience in a medical practice (ophthalmology/retina) preferred

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication Excellent patient service skills Active listening Social perceptiveness Ability to work as a team Excellent patient service skills
