Job Description

We have a great staff and doctors with a loyal and growing patient base in Durango, CO. We are looking for a high energy, fun-loving associate to help us continue to grow. Our team philosophy is to provide the highest level of patient care, eyewear, products and customer service possible and have fun in the process. Prior experience as an optician or working for an eyecare clinic preferred. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term career helping others.
Ideal candidate will be:
Comfortable with sales and making transactions A team player with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills Have a warm personality Fashion savvy and enjoy helping others Fast learner and hard worker Great with numbers and percentages Have good computer skills and comfort with electronic healthcare system Willing to go above and beyond the daily job requirements Eager and excited to learn everything about eye care and the optical world Job responsibilities include: Gathering patient medical history and enter information in EMR Cross training on patient work-ups for the doctor Checking patients in Assisting patients with contact lens education Cleaning and maintaining equipment and workplace Eyeglass adjustments, repairs and troubleshooting Eyeglass and contact lens sales Helping patients select new glasses Verifying patient insurance benefits and explaining them to patients Schedule is 40 hours a week Monday-Friday-- No Weekends! Salary is dependent on experience! We offer a generous $400 monthly bonus to cover health care costs and paid time off of 3 weeks to start, following probationary period. We also offer staff a 401(k) retirement option with matching!
