Administrative Responsibilities Greeting and directing patients Answering telephones Updating and maintaining electronic medical records Obtaining insurance verification and authorization Scheduling appointments Processing insurance claim forms Patient and insurance billing Clinical Responsibilities Take patient medical histories Perform preliminary and ancillary testing prior/during exam Enter data into electronic medical records Assist doctor during examinations Contact lens training (insertion & removal) Manage contact lens trial inventory Monitor patient flow throughout the office Establish positive rapport and build relationships with patients Additional Responsibilities (included but not limited to): Optical Responsibilities Assist patients in eyewear selection Take measurements for eyeglass orders Adjusting and repairing frames Order contact lenses General Cleaning - Ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff by performing routine tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, and maintaining overall office appearance. While prior experience is certainly a plus, it's not required to apply. If you have a warm, engaging personality and are eager to learn, we'll be happy to provide the training you need to succeed.
