Duties:

Assist optometrist with patient exams and procedures
Perform preliminary tests and measurements, such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry
Obtain patient medical history and input data into electronic medical records system (Rev)
Handle medical billing and coding for insurance claims
At times may need to manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and greeting patients

Experience:

Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a similar role desired but not required
Familiarity with EHR or other electronic medical records systems
Knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients
