On-the-job training is provided and this is a great opportunity as an entry point into healthcare. Responsibilities Will be responsible for ophthalmic patients on the testing schedule. Will accurately perform the following tests: Visual Field exam, OCT, Optos, and others as assigned. Will properly attach all test results to the appropriate patient chart. Will notify ophthalmic technicians if there are any problems getting accurate results. Will assist ophthalmic technicians and Clinical Manager with any other duties as required during the work day in between testing. Will support clinic efficiency by rooming patients as needed. Any other administrative tasks as needed Qualifications and Education Requirements - Entry level position - will train the right employee and this position can progress to an ophthalmic technician role, if desired. Competency and accuracy in testing will determine staff that will continue to develop into a technician role.
