Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmology testing technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care within our ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient interaction, medical procedures, and a passion for improving the vision health of our patients. We need individual to screen patients at least Tuesday 7:30 am-4pm, Wednesday 9 am-6 pm and Thursdays 7:30-4 pm. Full time is an option that can be discussed at interview. Duties Conduct initial patient assessments, including visual acuity and obtaining medical histories. Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity tests, tonometry, and other specialized ophthalmic procedures. Refract patients. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems like Medent Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a sterile environment. Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance overall patient care experience. Qualifications Previous experience as an Ophthalmology Technician. Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff alike. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
