Job Overview Adirondack Eye Care is looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Ophthalmic Technician to join our busy ophthalmology practice! Experienced is preferred, but will train the right person! This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week , Monday through Friday. No weekends and no overtime. Responsibilities Prepare patients for ophthalmic examinations by taking comprehensive medical histories and performing intake procedures. Operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment including A-scan biometry, tonometry devices, and ophthalmic imaging systems to gather accurate diagnostic data. Conduct eye refraction tests and assist with ophthalmic patient examinations under the supervision of the ophthalmologist. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Prior experience in a medical office setting or ophthalmology practice is highly preferred. Familiarity with ophthalmic diagnostic procedures such as A-scan biometry, tonometry, and eye refraction is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye anatomy, physiology, and common ocular conditions. Experience operating medical equipment used in ophthalmic examinations and imaging is desirable. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality within clinical settings. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on direct patient care and effective communication. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies.

From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week
