Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Doctor's Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support physicians in delivering exceptional patient care by managing clinical tasks, assisting with ophthalmic examinations, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic medical environment focused on eye health and patient service excellence. Duties Assist physicians during ophthalmic patient examinations, including eye refraction, tonometry, and other diagnostic procedures such as A-scan and ophthalmic imaging equipment. Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels. Prepare patients for their appointments by managing intake processes, updating medical records, and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to aseptic techniques and clinical confidentiality policies. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems to document patient information, exam results, and treatment plans accurately. Support patient service efforts by maintaining a welcoming environment, answering questions, and providing clear instructions on procedures. Uphold HIPAA regulations by maintaining strict patient confidentiality at all times during clinical and administrative tasks.
