Responsibilities Perform comprehensive ophthalmic patient examinations, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure (tonometry), eye refraction, and assessing ocular anatomy. Operate ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment Assist with patient intake processes by collecting medical histories and updating health records, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Support ophthalmologists during examinations by preparing instruments, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies, and managing medical records with precision. Maintain medical equipment operation standards, troubleshoot issues promptly, and ensure all clinical areas are organized and sanitized according to safety protocols. Requirements Prior experience in a medical office setting, preferably within ophthalmology or optometry, with familiarity in medical terminology and ophthalmic procedures. Knowledge of physiology related to the eye's anatomy and function is essential for accurate patient assessments. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, clinical confidentiality policies, and maintaining patient privacy at all times. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on direct patient care, empathy, and clear communication. Pay:

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
