Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optometric Technician and play a vital role in delivering exceptional eye care services! In this energetic position, you'll assist optometrists by preparing patients, conducting preliminary assessments, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their vision health journey. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in optometry/ophthalmology, medical records management, and patient care within a fast-paced, supportive setting. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with the intake process to ensure accurate medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary tests including auto refraction, non-contact tonometry, lensometry, taking retinal photography, visual field testing, and Optical coherence tomography (OCT) Support the clinical team by managing electronic health records (EHR) systems Educate patients on eye health, medication instructions, and proper use of contact lenses or glasses. Requirements Prior experience in medical office settings or optometry clinics is highly preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Experience with intake procedures and medical records management. Ability to demonstrate aseptic technique during clinical procedures and maintain a clean environment. Proficiency in using EMR systems Excellent communication skills combined with retail sales experience to support front desk duties and patient interactions. Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
