Our ophthalmology group is dedicated to bringing excellent eye care to patients at our locations in Stanwood, Mount Vernon, Sedro Woolley, and Coupeville. Cascadia Eye is looking for someone to join our team. If you like to work in a fast-paced environment and are interested in learning more about the world of eyes, you might be a great fit for our team! We are looking for someone to cover primarily our Mount Vernon office but can be flexible to drive to other locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing patients for eye exams, including obtaining medical histories, measuring visual acuity, and performing preliminary diagnostic tests such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging. Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment such as autorefractors, slit lamps, and fundus cameras. Support the ophthalmologist by documenting exam results, charting patient information, and providing accurate reports. Educate patients about pre and post-operative care, as well as general eye health. Ensure patient comfort and provide a friendly, professional environment. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of exam rooms.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician or in a similar medical role is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate! Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to handle medical equipment with care. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
