Optician Mountainview Vision Center is looking for a dependable, motivated Optician to join our optical team. We are looking for someone who is a fast learner, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable learning how to troubleshoot optical issues . Experience in optical is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who is eager to learn and wants to become confident in all aspects of the optical department. Responsibilities Help patients select and order glasses based on their prescription, needs, and insurance benefits Accurately place and process eyewear orders Learn to troubleshoot problems with glasses, lenses, prescriptions, measurements, and orders Understand and follow each patient's vision insurance plan and benefits Verify that orders are accurate and meet insurance and office requirements Assist with frame and optical inventory Help maintain an organized and well-stocked optical department Assist with contact lens orders, inventory, and other contact lens-related responsibilities Communicate with optical labs regarding orders, corrections, remakes, and other order-related needs Follow up on outstanding orders and help resolve delays or problems Maintain accurate documentation and follow office procedures Assist with other optical duties as needed This position does not include dispensing duties.
