Up to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience About Us Advanced Vision & Achievement Center is a multi-doctor optometry practice providing comprehensive and specialized vision care to patients in the Phoenix area. Our services include routine eye exams, binocular vision testing, sports vision, specialty contact lenses, and ocular disease management.

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and patient-focused Optician to join our growing optical team. About the Position As an Optician, you will work directly with patients to help them select eyewear that meets their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal preferences. You will educate patients about frame styles, lens options, coatings, and other optical products while delivering excellent customer service from start to finish.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is comfortable in a busy optometry practice, and can combine strong customer service with attention to detail. Responsibilities Assist patients with selecting eyeglass frames based on fit, prescription, lifestyle, and personal preferences. Educate patients on lens options, materials, coatings, and other optical products. Take accurate optical measurements and ensure proper frame fit. Adjust, fit, and dispense eyeglasses. Review prescriptions and help patients understand their eyewear options. Provide excellent customer service throughout the optical purchasing process. Maintain accurate patient and optical order information. Assist with ordering, tracking, and receiving eyewear and lenses. Communicate with optical laboratories regarding orders when necessary. Maintain an organized, attractive, and professional optical area. Work collaboratively with doctors, technicians, front-office staff, and other members of the optical team. Assist with additional patient-care and office responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Previous optician, optical, eyewear sales, or optometry-office experience preferred. Knowledge of frames, lenses, lens materials, and coatings is highly desirable. Experience taking optical measurements and adjusting or dispensing eyewear is preferred. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Comfortable discussing products and helping patients make purchasing decisions. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice. Dependable, professional, positive, and team-oriented. Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
