Job Overview Rare opportunity to join our team in South Boulder, providing personalized patient care for over 30 years! We are seeking a personable, warm, and detail-oriented individual to provide a consultative approach to glasses and contact sales, dispensing of new eyewear, adjustments and repairs and insurance guidance. This is an ideal position for someone with prior experience in a small optometry practice. Our office is a locally-owned private practice. We strive to provide patients with a comfortable and customer-service driven experience. We do not have a "corporate feel" and truly believe in making lasting connections with our patients. Duties Assist patients in choosing the appropriate eyewear based on their needs, preferences, and doctor's recommendations Perform glasses fittings and adjustments ensuring proper alignment and comfort Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR systems (OfficeMate/Eyefinity) to manage patient information effectively. Provide insurance benefit information and accurate pricing calculations to the patient at the time of sale Ensure a clean and organized work environment Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Previous experience in optical settings is preferred and preference will be given to candidates with OfficeMate and VSP/Eyemed insurance experience Knowledge of insurance verification, applying benefits, billing, and applying payments through EMR Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical coding is beneficial. Experience working with pediatric patients Familiarity with senior care Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Pay:

$23.00 - $29.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 36.0 per week
