We are looking for a new Optician to help us provide exceptional eye care for our patients in our locally owned and operated clinic. The ideal candidate is dependable and has the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Duties include but are not limited to: Assisting patients with frame and lens selection based on their prescription Edging lenses onsite Taking accurate measurements to ensure proper fit of eyewear Educating patients on proper eyewear care, maintenance and usage Adjusting and repairing eyewear as needed to ensure optimal comfort and functionality Maintaining inventory of eyewear and related products Processing orders for eyewear, including verification and dispensing Greeting, checking in and checking out patients Scheduling patients Collecting and verifying demographic information Accurately entering data Answering incoming calls Verifying insurance for patient appointments Explaining policies (HIPAA, Billing, etc) Experience with EHR (Electronic Health Records) and computers is preferred. Optometric experience is a plus, however it is not required as we always provide ongoing education. Benefits include 401K, PTO, medical and vision insurance. Pay dependent on experience.
