Optical Sales Consultant / Eyewear Stylist Beyond 2020 Vision Specialists Licensed opticians welcome; licensure is not required for this sales-focused position. Style patients. Build confidence. Drive sales. Do you have an eye for fashion, a natural ability to sell, and the confidence to tell someone, "Let's try something you wouldn't normally pick"? Beyond 2020 is looking for a personable, fashion-forward Optical Sales Consultant / Eyewear Stylist who can turn selecting glasses into a personalized shopping experience. We want someone who understands that eyewear is more than a necessity—it is part of a person's style, confidence, and everyday life. This is an active sales and styling role—not a position where you simply point patients toward a frame board and wait for them to choose. Our ideal candidate takes the lead, makes thoughtful recommendations, introduces fresh looks, and helps patients build an eyewear wardrobe that fits how they live. What You Will Do Create a personalized frame selection. Get to know each patient's style, work, hobbies, preferences, and budget. Proactively pull a selection of frames before the styling consultation whenever possible, rather than starting with an overwhelming wall of choices. Help patients explore beyond their usual look. Confidently introduce different shapes, colors, and styles. Offer honest, encouraging feedback that helps patients discover frames they may never have considered—while respecting their preferences. Make multiple-pair recommendations a natural part of the conversation. Present options for everyday wear, work and computer use, sunglasses, hobbies, and different occasions. Explain the purpose and value of each pair rather than treating a second pair as an afterthought. Own the sales conversation. Build rapport, explain product value and pricing, respond confidently to questions and objections, and ask for the sale. Be comfortable working toward sales goals, including multiple-pair purchases, while earning patients' trust. Enter information accurately into our computer system. Record patient information, frame selections, approved lens specifications, pricing, payments, and order details. Double-check your work and communicate clearly with the team to help prevent errors and delays. Represent the Beyond 2020 experience. Bring a polished, fashion-conscious personal style to work, maintain attractive and organized frame displays, and partner with our doctors and staff to provide a seamless experience from the exam room through the eyewear purchase. Who We Are Looking For You are outgoing, observant, and comfortable leading a conversation. You enjoy selling, take pride in your results, and know how to make a recommendation without sounding scripted or pushy. You do not wait for a patient to ask about a second pair—you recognize a relevant opportunity and confidently explain it. You have a genuine interest in fashion and demonstrate it through your own professional presentation. You can explain why a frame works, help someone compare different looks, and make the experience enjoyable. We are looking for someone with personal style—not someone who simply knows which frames are popular. You must also be organized, dependable, comfortable learning computer systems, and attentive to detail. Strong sales ability matters, but so does entering an order correctly and following through. Optical sales experience is preferred. Candidates with a strong background in fashion retail, styling, jewelry, or other personalized sales environments are also encouraged to apply. Licensed opticians are welcome; responsibilities will be appropriate to the employee's qualifications and applicable supervision requirements. Apply Send your résumé and a brief introduction explaining your sales experience, your interest in fashion and eyewear, and how you would help a patient who says, "I always wear the same style, and I only need one pair." We are looking for someone who can help patients see the possibilities—and feel confident saying yes to them.
