Optical Sales Specialist / Optician Eyes on Southern - Royal Palm Beach, FL Eyes on Southern is a growing private optometry practice with a high-end optical boutique seeking an experienced, personable and fashion-forward Optical Sales Specialist / Optician We are looking for someone with optical sales experience who wants to do more than just optical . The ideal candidate loves eyewear and fashion but is also excited about eye care, technology and learning the clinical side of an optometry practice. A Florida optician license is not required for this position. Responsibilities Assist patients with frame selection and styling Present premium lenses and lens technology Take optical measurements, dispense eyewear and perform adjustments Process vision benefits and optical orders Cross-train as an optometric assistant Assist the doctor with pretesting and diagnostic testing Teach contact lens insertion and removal Learn and assist with myopia management and Ortho-K , including insertion and removal training Work comfortably with children, adults and elderly patients Help provide an exceptional patient experience throughout the practice Who We're Looking For Previous optical sales experience is strongly preferred , but equally important is a desire to learn and grow within eye care. We are looking for someone who: Loves fashion, eyewear and working with people Is confident presenting premium products and technology Is excited to learn the medical and clinical side of optometry Enjoys working with both children and elderly patients Is interested in specialty contact lenses and myopia management Is curious about cutting-edge technologies and advances in eye care Values continuing education and professional development Is excited about industry training and opportunities to attend optical and eye-care conferences Is dependable, organized, motivated and eager to learn Enjoys being part of a small practice where team members are cross-trained and help one another We value continuing education and professional growth and want someone who is genuinely excited to expand their knowledge of eyewear, lenses, specialty eye care and emerging technologies.
