Full Job Description Job Title:

Optician/Optical Sales Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Optician/Optical sales associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting and fitting eyewear, interpreting prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists, and providing exceptional customer service. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in helping customers achieve optimal vision correction and style with the selection of appropriate eyeglasses or contact lenses. Prior experience with edging lenses is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in choosing eyeglass frames that complement their features and meet their prescription requirements
• Take accurate measurements to ensure proper fit and comfort of eyewear
• Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and materials to meet their visual needs
• Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
• Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and contact lenses
• Process orders and maintain accurate customer records
• Stay updated on industry trends and new products

Skills:

• Proficiency in retail sales techniques
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations
• Experience working in optical stores or offices
• Ability to apply retail math concepts for pricing and sales transactions
