Hearing must be within range of normal human conversation.
Position requires attention to detail to ensure patients receive the correct optical items.
Position functions within a normal office environment. Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30

Dispensing opticians fit eyeglasses and contact lenses, following prescriptions written by ophthalmologists or optometrists.Job Responsibilities:
Interpretation of prescriptions written by ophthalmologists and optometrists.Collection of eye measurements including pupillary distance and segment height for progressive and bifocal lenses.
Helping clients select eyeglasses and lens treatments including tints and coatings.
Creating work orders for lab technicians to ensure delivery of the proper lenses.
Verify glasses and notify patients for dispensing.
Adjusting glasses to ensure a proper fit.
Repairing broken frames.
