Job Description

Warby Parker is looking for a patient-focused and dynamic Full-Time Optometrist to join one of its affiliated independent optometry practices. The practice is adjacent to a Warby Parker retail location. You will practice under the clinical direction of the practice's supervising optometrist(s). The ideal candidate is a natural team player who delivers exceptional clinical care, builds meaningful relationships with patients, and contributes to the success of the entire practice. You'll work closely with our team to deliver a best-in-class patient experience-and have fun doing it! What You'll Do:
  • Perform high-quality comprehensive eye exams and contact lens evaluations in line with established clinical protocols and standards of care
  • Partner with the store team to create an exceptional patient experience while working together to grow the eye exam business at your location
  • Prescribe eyewear, contacts, and eye health solutions tailored to each patient's needs, and educate them on their options. Diagnose and treat a variety of vision conditions, including refractive error and ocular health assessments, while ensuring accuracy to help patients see (and feel) their best
  • Share eye care knowledge and feel confident in coaching the team to help them confidently support patients throughout their journey
  • Be a visible and engaged clinical presence -reinforcing our commitment to eye care, answering patient questions, supporting product recommendations, and ensuring a seamless, elevated patient experience
  • Use modern digital exam lanes and EMR tools to streamline care and ensure an excellent patient experience
  • Support key performance goals by delivering excellent clinical care
  • Collaborate closely with the Store Leader to align on goals and strategies, to build a strong OD and store leader partnership
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient examinations and treatments in compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocols
  • Maintain State Licensure in good standing and meet all Continuing Education/State requirements
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by educating and inspiring patients and team members, reinforcing our leadership in eye care within the community
  • Take advantage of growth opportunities to expand your skill set beyond the exam lane, including developing business acumen, mentorship, and advanced clinical training
  • Perform other tasks as needed to provide an exceptional patient experience Who you are:
  • A Doctor of Optometry licensed in the state where you practice, in good standing
