Responsibilities Conduct thorough ophthalmic patient examinations, including visual acuity testing, tonometry, and assessment of ocular health using ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment Diagnose eye conditions and disease states related to ophthalmology, providing appropriate medical treatments or referrals as needed Perform contact lens fittings and manage contact lens-related issues with precision and care Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to document patient histories, examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Educate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment options while maintaining excellent client communication and customer service standards Manage ophthalmic consultations, interpret medical terminology, and coordinate with other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care Assist in disease state management by monitoring vital signs and conducting ophthalmic diagnostic imaging as necessary Qualifications Valid licensure as an Optometrist with current state certification or licensing requirements fulfilled Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice with strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical treatment protocols Hands-on experience with optical devices, ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment, tonometry devices, and contact lens fitting tools Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping and documentation Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams Ability to perform comprehensive ophthalmic examinations while maintaining high standards of patient care and aseptic technique Join us in delivering exceptional eye care through a vibrant team environment! $110.00 - $130.00 per hour
