EMT
  • Basic, Paramedic, or Paramedic (CC) Full Time
  • Bronson Commons, Mattawan Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus (External Candidates)
  • Bronson Commons is seeking EMTs and Paramedics to join our VBEMS team and provide high-quality pre-hospital care and safe transport for patients of all ages.
As a member of the ambulance crew, you'll deliver emergency and non-emergency care, follow Van Buren County Medical Control protocols, and maintain strong clinical competencies through ongoing training and education. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a State of Michigan-approved EMT-Basic or Paramedic program Current Michigan EMT-Basic or Paramedic licensure in good standing Valid Michigan driver's license with a good driving record Completion of required clinical time and 40 hours of ride-time with VBEMS after hire Ability to read and write English; Spanish-speaking ability desirable Full-time Paramedics must obtain CCEMTP certification within the designated timeframe Skills & Competencies Strong clinical judgment and ability to assess scenes quickly Ability to work under pressure in difficult or unpredictable situations Excellent communication, tact, and professionalism Ability to maintain confidentiality Physical stamina to lift up to 100 lbs and assist with heavier tasks Ability to complete documentation accurately and on time Key Responsibilities Provide patient care consistent with licensure level and VBMCA protocols Safely transport patients during emergency and non-emergency calls Complete run sheets, billing sheets, and required documentation each shift Maintain licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements Provide direction to EMTs of lower licensure during calls Report incidents or accidents promptly Participate in community education and public service events Complete daily shift duties and basic building/grounds maintenance Attend monthly Run Reviews and VBEMS meetings (75% attendance required) Credentialing Pathways This role supports multiple levels of EMS practice, including: EMT
  • Provides BLS care and functions on BLS, LALS, or ALS units Paramedic in Training
  • Functions under supervision of a Paramedic Field Instructor Paramedic I
  • Fully credentialed to function on ALS units Paramedic II
  • Experienced paramedic able to function independently Paramedic II
  • Critical Care
  • Must obtain and maintain CC training Schedule & Incentives Full time Variable shift
