We are hiring a Paramedic for a Full Time position in Abingdon, Virginia.

Shift Details:

1630-0600. Three on, One Off, Three On, Seven Off. There are opportunities for overtime if desired. Responsibilities Respond to emergent and non-emergent calls, providing care and transportation to patients in need. Assess patients' conditions and determine the appropriate course of action Administer necessary medical treatments and interventions. Monitor patient vital signs and ensure hemodynamic stability during transport Communicate with facility staff to provide accurate patient information. Document all medical procedures, assessments, and treatments accurately and thoroughly. Required Skills Strong anatomy knowledge to understand the human body and its systems. Drive and ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situation. Proficient in assessing vital signs and recognizing abnormalities. Skilled in patient assessment techniques to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move patients safely. Excellent patient care skills, including compassion, empathy, and effective communication. Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand and use it effectively. Familiarity with state and agency protocols and procedures for efficient patient transfer About Us Abingdon Ambulance Service / C-Trans Medical Services is located in Far Southwestern Virginia near the Tennessee/Virginia border, with offices throughout the region. The agency provides 24/7 emergency and non-emergent ambulance transportation to the residents and visitors of Southwestern Virginia, Northeastern Tennessee, and surrounding areas.

Services include:

Emergent transportation to hospital emergency departments Inter-facility transport (-hospital to +hospital) Specialty Transport (Critical Care & Bariatric) Non-emergent discharge to home or care facilities Scheduled appointments (Physician offices & Dialysis) Federally contracted
