Job Description

Job Type:
Part-Time | 20+ hours/week
Compensation:
$30-$40/hour, based on experience and session type We're looking for Personal Trainers who genuinely love people, are passionate about helping others get stronger, and believe that great coaching is about so much more than counting reps. If you're encouraging, curious, coachable, and excited about making a meaningful impact in people's lives, we'd love to meet you. And if you're newer to personal training, don't count yourself out. We're willing to invest in the right person and help them become an exceptional coach. About Live Fit Studios At Live Fit Studios, we believe fitness should build confidence, strength, and sustainability. Our motto, "Come Curious, Leave Confident," captures the experience we want every client to have: a place where they can learn, get stronger, feel supported, and leave feeling more confident than when they walked in. We specialize in 1:1 and small-group personal training, with no more than six clients in a small-group session. Our coaching is built around strength, movement quality, individualized programming, and helping clients create habits that last. We primarily work with individuals in their 40s, 50s, and beyond who want to get stronger, feel better in their bodies, and continue doing the things they love. Our clients aren't looking for quick fixes. They're looking for coaches they can trust and a community they truly belong to. We're not trying to be the biggest gym. We're building something different: a welcoming, inclusive, community-driven environment where clients know their coaches, coaches know their clients, and everyone feels like they belong. As we continue to grow in Camas and expand into Salmon Creek, we're looking for people who want to be part of that mission. We want someone who genuinely enjoys helping people. Someone who gets excited when a client reaches a milestone, notices when someone isn't having their best day, celebrates the small wins, and understands how meaningful it can be to help someone feel strong and confident in their own body. Our clients trust us with their bodies, their confidence, and often their first real experience with strength training. We take that responsibility seriously. The Opportunity You'll be joining a collaborative, community-driven coaching team where we share ideas, learn from one another, and hold ourselves to a high standard of client care. This role is about more than leading great workouts. It's about building meaningful relationships, creating an exceptional client experience, and contributing to the continued growth of our studios. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills, take ownership of your role, bring new ideas to the table, and grow alongside a team that genuinely wants to see you succeed. What You'll Do Coach 1:1 and small-group personal training sessions. Provide individualized coaching in a small-group environment while maintaining awareness of the entire group. Build client confidence through clear instruction, thoughtful feedback, and positive encouragement. Coach strength training, mobility, movement quality, and functional exercise. Modify and progress exercises based on each client's experience, ability, limitations, and goals. Monitor client progress and communicate with the coaching team about programming and client needs. Follow Live Fit's established coaching, programming, and client-experience standards. Build genuine relationships with clients and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive studio environment. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment. Participate in team meetings, continuing education, workshops, events, and studio initiatives. Contribute ideas, take initiative, and look for opportunities to improve the client experience. Support community engagement and studio growth by participating in events, outreach, and other initiatives as needed. Who We're Looking For A CNP (Certified Nice Person) First and foremost, you're warm, empathetic, patient, encouraging, and genuinely enjoy working with people. You understand that every client is different and that building trust is an essential part of great coaching. A Thoughtful, Intentional Coach You're passionate about strength training and understand that personal training is about people first and exercises second. You can explain why we're doing something, not just demonstrate how to do it. You're observant, adaptable, and able to adjust your coaching to the person standing in front of you. A Team Player We're building a team, not a collection of individual trainers working under the same roof. You communicate well, share ideas, celebrate your teammates' successes, and are willing to help wherever needed. You value collaboration and understand that we all contribute to the overall client experience. Someone Who Takes Ownership You take pride in your work and care about the success of the studio. You're reliable, organized, proactive, and willing to take initiative. You notice what needs to be done, ask questions when you need help, and look for ways to make things better. Someone Who Is Curious and Coachable You don't need to know everything, but you do need to be willing to learn. You welcome constructive feedback, take your professional development seriously, and are motivated to continually improve your coaching skills. You bring curiosity, humility, and a genuine desire to become better at what you do. Someone Who Brings the Right Energy You help create an environment where clients feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged. You're positive, professional, confident, and approachable, and you understand that your energy can have a meaningful impact on someone's day. Requirements Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized organization such as NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, or ISSA, or a willingness to pursue certification through our internship and development program. Current CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain one. A strong interest in strength training and helping people become stronger and more confident. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliability, professionalism, and strong organizational skills. A willingness to learn and follow Live Fit's coaching and client-experience standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience coaching personal training clients, particularly in a small-group or semi-private setting. Experience working with women 40+ or individuals who are new to strength training. An educational background in exercise science, strength and conditioning, or a related field. Knowledge of mobility, corrective exercise, or functional movement. Nutrition or habit-based coaching experience. Additional certifications or continuing education in relevant areas. Don't meet every preferred qualification? That's okay. Experience is an asset, but it isn't everything. We're open to developing the right person through our internship, mentorship, and coaching development program.
