Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of pharmacists, technicians, and clerical staff to ensure efficient pharmacy services and timely medication delivery. Develop and implement staff schedules, training programs, and performance evaluations to foster professional growth and maintain high-quality standards. Collaborate on departmental goals aligned with organizational strategies to enhance service outcomes. Maintain pharmacy cleanliness, organization, and compliance with regulatory standards. Handle medication and supplies reconciliation, resolving discrepancies promptly. Lead a diverse staff of 64 pharmacy personnel including pharmacists, lead technicians, and clerical support. Manage a pharmacy volume of approximately 1100 - 1200 prescriptions weekly.
Work schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years' pharmacist experience, with at least 2 years in hospital or clinical pharmacy preferred. Active and current Pharmacist license required; Arizona state licensure preferred. BLS certification is a plus. Ability to begin assignment within 2-3 weeks after offer acceptance.
