Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. We are looking for a candidate for both week days and a weekend Pharmacist. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong background in pharmacy practices, patient assessment, and a commitment to providing excellent patient service. The Pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes. Warfield Pharmacy is looking for a candidate for both week days and a weekend (Saturday only) Pharmacist, who is experience. Responsibilities Review and interpret physician orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy. Conduct patient assessments to evaluate medication needs and health status. Provide immunizations and educate patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations. Perform utilization reviews to assess the appropriateness of prescribed therapies. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and medication inventories. Collaborate with healthcare providers in the ICU setting to manage complex medication regimens. Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and pharmacy regulations. Qualifications Current pharmacist license in good standing with the state board of pharmacy. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology. Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting or completion of a pharmacy residency is preferred. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Previous experience with patient assessments and utilization review is highly desirable.
