Job Description

Help Patients Navigate Complex Therapies and Achieve Better Outcomes We are seeking a compassionate and clinically focused Specialty Pharmacist to join our Specialty Pharmacy team. In this role, you will manage specialty medication therapies and provide ongoing support to patients with complex or chronic health conditions. As a Specialty Pharmacist, you'll work closely with patients, providers, nurses, and pharmacy team members to optimize medication therapy, monitor outcomes, address barriers to treatment, and improve the overall patient experience. Through patient education, clinical interventions, and medication management, you'll play a critical role in helping patients successfully navigate their treatment journey. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a highly clinical environment where pharmacists are empowered to make a meaningful impact on patient care while leveraging advanced technology and collaborative care models. Pay Information $60.50 - $78.91 per hour $10k sign-on bonus Weekend Differential is $1/hr Up to $5k in relocation reimbursement (must be applicable) What You'll Do Manage patient care through the Specialty Pharmacy Patient Management Program and dispensing systems Review patient charts and medication therapy plans to support safe and effective treatment Provide patient education on specialty medications, administration techniques, side effect management, and adherence strategies Monitor patient progress and perform clinical interventions in collaboration with providers and care teams Identify opportunities to optimize therapy and improve treatment outcomes Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care Ensure compliance with specialty pharmacy accreditation standards and regulatory requirements Participate in quality improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for operational and clinical enhancements Support medication safety and clinical best practices across specialty pharmacy services Precept pharmacy students and residents and assist with onboarding and development of pharmacy staff as appropriate Provide guidance and oversight to pharmacy technicians in daily specialty pharmacy operations Contribute to educational initiatives, patient outreach efforts, and community health programs What We're Looking For Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in Indiana and Kentucky Ability to obtain required licensure within 45 days of employment Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to patient-centered care Excellent communication and patient counseling skills Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Strong problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities Commitment to medication safety, quality, and service excellence
Preferred:
