This is an independent pharmacy where the primary daily objective is advanced, non-sterile laboratory compounding (topicals, suspensions, suppositories, and troches). We do not operate like a traditional corporate retail pharmacy. To be considered for this role, your uploaded resume MUST explicitly list your hands-on compounding experience, laboratory equipment proficiency, and formulation history. Applications with generic retail resumes that omit compounding details will be automatically declined. Otherwise, we do have an opening for a Certified Pharmacy Technician that may be better suited. Please apply there. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ We are seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with a strong background in non-sterile pharmaceutical compounding to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience preparing a variety of non-sterile compounded medications , including topicals, suspensions, suppositories, troches, capsules, creams, ointments, and other compounded dosage forms . Strong working knowledge of USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> is required. Required Qualifications Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification Hands-on experience in non-sterile pharmaceutical compounding Experience compounding a variety of dosage forms, including: Topicals Suspensions Suppositories Troches Capsules Creams and ointments Other non-sterile compounded preparations Strong working knowledge of USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> Understanding of compounding procedures, calculations, documentation, cleaning, equipment, and quality-control processes Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to follow SOPs and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding environment Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and effectively with pharmacists and pharmacy staff Preferred Qualifications Experience with PCCA and PCCA Software Experience with PrimeRx Pharmacy Software Previous experience in an independent or compounding pharmacy Experience working with a broad range of non-sterile compounded formulations Location Transition The pharmacy is currently located in Chevy Chase, MD , with plans to transition to a newly built pharmacy in the Bethesda area within approximately six months . Candidates must be comfortable working at the current Chevy Chase location and transitioning to the Bethesda-area location once the new pharmacy is operational.
Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
