Job description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Part-Time Pharmacist to join our team (~24-32 hours per week). In this role, you will support the safe and efficient distribution of veterinary medications, ensuring regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking flexible hours (i.e., no weekends or evening shifts), pleasant work environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pet and livestock care.

Note:

no compounding; no controlled substances or dangerous drugs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify veterinary prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and appropriateness for animal patients, including dosage calculations tailored to species, weight, and condition.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technician to process refill requests.
• Monitor expiration dates.
• Ensure all activities comply with federal and state regulations for veterinary drugs, including accurate record-keeping.

Qualification Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited program.
• Active state pharmacist license in good standing.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in pharmacy
• Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
