Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy services at a critical access hospital in Taos, NM. This contract position focuses on delivering high-quality care in a smaller hospital setting, serving up to 25 patients.
Schedule & Location:
Day-shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (06:30 AM to 07:00 PM) Located in scenic Taos, New Mexico Contract duration of 13 weeks or longer
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care Manage pharmacokinetics consultations and related clinical assessments Support critical access hospital operations with attention to detail and compliance
Qualifications:
Current New Mexico pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a temporary license Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience, demonstrating strong clinical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Effective communication skills and sound clinical judgment This position offers the chance to practice pharmacy in a supportive, focused hospital environment with meaningful patient impact.
