Overview As a Pharmacist in Charge, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care. You will lead a dedicated team, overseeing pharmacy operations while providing exceptional patient service. Your expertise will guide medication management, patient assessment, and clinical pharmacy practices, making a real difference in the lives of patients. What you'll do Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices. Oversee medication dispensing, including compounding medications and IV infusion preparation. Conduct thorough patient assessments to tailor medication therapy and optimize outcomes. Manage inventory effectively to ensure availability of medications while minimizing waste. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement medical management plans for patients. Provide immunizations and educate patients on medication administration and pain management strategies. Utilize pharmacy software and EMR/EHR systems to maintain accurate patient records and streamline workflows. Mentor pharmacy technicians and support their professional development within the team. Basic qualifications Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic technique. Preferred qualifications Experience in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy or critical care settings. Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
