•Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacist opportunity is available for a contract assignment based in Kittanning, PA, with an initial duration of one month and potential extension or an 8-week contract considered. This role supports skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice services through diligent medication management and clinical support.

Schedule:

40 hours per week Monday through

Friday:

8:00 AM

•6:00

PM Saturday:

8:00 AM

•4:00

PM Sunday:

8:00 AM

•3:00

PM Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for various long-term care and hospice settings Inspect blister-packed medications, as well as sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals, ensuring accuracy and compliance Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, addressing clinical questions promptly Count controlled substances and maintain accurate perpetual inventory documentation Review and maintain emergency medication boxes

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy Current and valid pharmacist license in Pennsylvania in good standing Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience, preferably in long-term care (LTC) Strong fine motor skills, visual acuity, and physical ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 30 pounds Familiarity with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems preferred This contract position offers consistent hours and the opportunity to contribute directly to enhancing patient care in specialized healthcare settings.
