In Person More Than Filling Prescriptions Phipps Pharmacy is seeking an exceptional Part Time/PRN Pharmacist to provide pharmacist coverage across our Tennessee pharmacy locations. We are looking for a pharmacist who can confidently step into any Phipps Pharmacy location, become part of the team, and immediately begin delivering the exceptional patient care and pharmacy experience our patients expect. At Phipps Pharmacy, pharmacists are more than medication dispensers. We are Pharmacy Doctors. The PRN Pharmacist will provide coverage based on the needs of the organization, including vacations, scheduled time off, staffing needs, increased prescription volume, and other circumstances requiring pharmacist coverage. Position Summary The PRN Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, accurate, efficient, and patient-focused pharmacy services while working collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other members of the Phipps Pharmacy team. This pharmacist must be comfortable working at multiple Phipps Pharmacy locations and adapting to different teams, patient populations, workflows, and pharmacy needs while consistently maintaining Phipps Pharmacy's standards for patient care and service. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, clinically confident, solution-focused, and capable of quickly becoming a productive member of any pharmacy team. Patient-Focused Pharmacy Care The PRN Pharmacist will: Provide the highest quality Pharmacy-Doctor patient care. Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications. Counsel patients regarding prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and healthcare needs. Identify and resolve medication-related problems. Communicate with prescribers and other members of the healthcare team when necessary. Provide immunizations within the pharmacist's scope of practice. Provide Medication Therapy Management and other clinical pharmacy services when appropriate. Help patients understand their medications and improve medication adherence. Identify opportunities to provide additional pharmacy services that may benefit the patient. Deliver an exceptional patient experience during every interaction. Pharmacy Operations Depending upon the location and needs of the pharmacy, responsibilities may include: Prescription verification and dispensing. Prospective drug utilization review. Patient counseling. Medication synchronization. Adherence packaging support. Immunizations. Clinical pharmacy services. Prescription transfers. Prescriber communication. Controlled substance compliance. Inventory oversight. Workflow management. Pharmacy technician supervision. Quality assurance. Documentation and recordkeeping. Maintaining compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations. The PRN Pharmacist is expected to help lead pharmacy workflow during assigned shifts and work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and other team members to ensure patient needs are addressed accurately and efficiently. Flexible Team Member Because this position provides coverage throughout the Phipps Pharmacy organization, flexibility is essential.

QualificationsRequired Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Current and unrestricted Tennessee pharmacist license. Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate professional judgment. Ability to travel between Phipps Pharmacy locations as needed. Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy workflow. Preferred Previous community or retail pharmacy experience. Immunization certification. Experience providing clinical pharmacy services. Familiarity with medication synchronization, adherence packaging, compounding, or other advanced community pharmacy services. Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy management software. Schedule This is a Part Time/ PRN as-needed position . Hours and locations will vary depending upon the needs of Phipps Pharmacy and may include: Weekday and Saturday coverage. Vacation and PTO coverage. Coverage for unexpected pharmacist absences. Additional coverage during periods of increased pharmacy demand. PRN pharmacists may be asked to work at any Phipps Pharmacy location based on organizational needs. Why Phipps Pharmacy?
