Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking two Clinical Pharmacists to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a pediatric hospital setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with recent experience in pediatric inpatient environments looking to make an immediate impact in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center.
Responsibilities:
Deliver consultative services and clinical expertise to optimize medication usage and therapeutic outcomes for pediatric patients. Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, residents, and nursing staff, to ensure safe and effective medication administration. Process medication orders and prescriptions accurately in accordance with physicians' directives. Advise medical practitioners on medication safety, potential interactions, and therapeutic alternatives. Participate in the development, implementation, and compliance monitoring of pharmacy policies and procedures related to medication safety and quality standards. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the pharmacy scope of practice. Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations and patient care.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of recent pediatric clinical pharmacy experience. Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and medication management in pediatric settings. Ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Commitment to ensuring compliance with medication safety and regulatory standards.
Schedule:
Day/Evening shifts from 12 PM to 8 PM. Specific schedule to be discussed during the interview.
