Schedule Part-time, no nights or weekends Department Pharmacy Services Position Summary The Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings. This role is ideal for a self‑motivated professional who communicates well, solves problems proactively, and thrives in an environment where you may often be the sole pharmacist on duty. You'll oversee pharmacy technicians, collaborate with clinical teams, and support safe medication practices throughout the hospital. This is a part-time, 24 hours a week position. Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational pharmacy services in accordance with hospital policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
• Work closely with nursing and medical staff to ensure safe and appropriate medication therapy in all departments (eg Acute Care, ED, Surgery, Endo, and Outpatient Infusions)
• Oversee and support pharmacy technicians, ensuring accurate medication preparation and distribution.
• Manage daily medication dispensing, including verification, order review, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and verify sterile IV admixtures following USP standards.
• Conduct controlled substance audits and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and optimize drug inventory, including procurement, storage, and waste reduction.
• Participate in development and maintenance of hospital medication policies, protocols, and formulary management.
• Utilize the hospital's EHR and automated dispensing cabinets effectively; assist with system updates and workflow improvements.
• Serve as a resource for medication information, safety initiatives, and interdepartmental problem-solving.
• Perform other standard hospital pharmacist duties as needed in a small, flexible practice environment. Qualifications
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy, or BS Pharmacy.
• Active Washington State Pharmacist License (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).
• Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Comfortable supervising pharmacy technicians and partnering closely with nursing staff.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and automated medication dispensing machines.
• Computer savvy and adaptable to new technologies.
• Experience with IV compounding and controlled substance management.
