Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A unique opportunity is available for a travel pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care at a small 40-bed hospital in Northern Central Wisconsin. This role offers flexibility with scheduling options to fit your lifestyle, including either four 10-hour day shifts per week or a 7-on/7-off day shift rotation. The position starts ASAP and extends for at least 13 weeks.
Location:
Northern Central Wisconsin (Plover area)
Schedule:
4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM), with rotating weekends OR 7 days on, 7 days off day shift schedule
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple concurrent duties within a central inpatient pharmacy environment Verify EPIC orders and review technician work to ensure accuracy and safety Respond to pharmacist phone calls promptly and professionally Prepare and provide inpatient and outpatient intravenous medications, including chemotherapy Dispense inpatient unit dose medications covering diverse departments such as Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, the emergency department, and surgery Support a typical inpatient census of 30-40 patients
Desired Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist with experience in hospital and inpatient pharmacy operations Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, multi-responsibility role Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems preferred Experience handling chemotherapy and complex IV preparations a strong plus Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling and rotating shifts This contract assignment offers the chance to apply your pharmacy expertise in a close-knit hospital setting while exploring Northern Central Wisconsin.
