Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in rural Northern Wisconsin at a 75-bed hospital facility. This role offers an engaging environment managing a busy inpatient pharmacy and serving diverse clinical areas including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, and the Emergency Department. The contract position is set for 13 weeks or more, starting as soon as possible, providing a chance to gain valuable experience in a rural healthcare setting.

Schedule/Hours:

Primarily 10-hour day shifts Weekend rotations consist of 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Verify EPIC medication orders and oversee technician tasks in a central inpatient pharmacy Respond to pharmacist inquiries and phone calls efficiently Dispense inpatient and outpatient IV medications, unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy Manage medication needs for an inpatient census averaging 30-40 patients across multiple departments

Desired Qualifications:

Licensed pharmacist with experience in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings Proficient in using EPIC electronic health records Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy environment Experience with chemotherapy preparation and administration is a plus Strong communication skills and attention to detail This role provides exposure to a wide range of therapeutic areas and patient populations in a close-knit rural hospital.
