Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 50-bed hospital in Northern Wisconsin, offering a rewarding 13-week+ assignment. This role is essential for ensuring optimal medication management and patient safety within the hospital setting.

12-hour day shifts 7 days on, 7 days off rotation Immediate start
Responsibilities:
Review medication orders for appropriate drug therapy, including assessment of dose, dosage form, regimen, therapeutic duplication, and potential drug interactions Provide pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing expertise Deliver pharmaceutical care through clinical services, such as medication reconciliation and discharge medication education Oversee pharmaceutical compounding processes with adherence to USP regulatory and compliance guidelines (USP 797 and USP 800) Utilize EPIC electronic health records (EHR) system for documentation and medication management
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with active credentials to practice Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacotherapy and medication management Experience with pharmacokinetic dosing and anticoagulation protocols Familiarity with USP 797 and USP 800 standards governing pharmaceutical compounding Proficiency in EPIC or similar EHR systems Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment This contract assignment combines challenging work with a supportive professional environment and the opportunity to provide critical care in a smaller hospital setting.
