Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Travel A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced pharmacist for an 8-week travel assignment with potential for extension. This opportunity is based in Wilson, WY, at a 49-bed hospital currently staffed by two full-time pharmacists. Due to a pharmacist being on FMLA through May, additional coverage is needed to support pharmacy operations during this period.

Schedule:
Monday to
Friday:
6:15 AM - 7:00
PM Saturday and Sunday:
7:15 AM - 12:00 PM (on call after hours) Current staff works 10-hour shifts with one weekend per month; scheduling flexibility available, including 7-on/7-off options for interim coverage
Key Responsibilities:
Provide efficient inpatient pharmacy services to support medication distribution and ensure patient safety Manage medication order verification and clinical interventions using electronic systems Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize medication therapy and support patient care Utilize proficiency with Cerner and Pyxis systems in daily pharmacy operations Adapt quickly to facility protocols with minimal training due to immediate onboarding needs
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Wyoming pharmacist license Minimum of 2 years inpatient hospital pharmacy experience Strong working knowledge of Cerner and Pyxis systems Ability to function independently with minimal supervision One professional managerial reference demonstrating leadership and pharmacy competence This role offers a chance to apply your skills in a supportive environment with flexible scheduling options during the assignment.
