Job Summary We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Pharmacy Assistant / Clerk to join our team. You will serve as the welcoming face of our pharmacy, assisting patients at the front counter, managing cash registers, handling phone inquiries, and supporting our pharmacy team with medication dispensing and inventory maintenance to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Greet patients warmly as they arrive and assist with picking up pre-sorted prescriptions or over-the-counter items. Operate the cash register accurately, process sales transactions, and handle customer check-outs. Assist the pharmacy team with medication dispensing duties (such as counting, pouring, and packaging medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist). Answer incoming phone calls, direct patient questions to the appropriate staff, and take accurate messages. Restock front-end shelves, organize OTC displays, face inventory, and check for expired stock. Assist with general administrative tasks, filing, maintaining a clean lobby, and sorting incoming mail or delivery paperwork. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy standards at all times. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail, cash handling, or customer service experience is strongly preferred. Friendly, approachable demeanor with a genuine passion for helping people. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment. Basic computer literacy and comfort using point-of-sale (POS) systems. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
