Job Description
CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead daily pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing while delivering exceptional patient care. You will oversee pharmacy staff, optimize workflow, and maintain regulatory and company compliance. The role includes clinical counseling, immunizations, medication therapy management, and collaboration with providers to improve outcomes. You will mentor and develop team members, drive performance and quality metrics, and support a culture of integrity, inclusion, and continuous learning as we advance accessible, affordable healthcare in the community. Responsibilities Lead and manage daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications. Supervise, coach, and develop pharmacists, technicians, and support staff; manage scheduling and workflow. Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as CVS Health policies and procedures. Provide direct patient care, including prescription verification, counseling, drug utilization review, and medication therapy management. Administer immunizations and oversee vaccine storage, handling, and documentation as required by state law. Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, and control of medications and controlled substances. Monitor and optimize key performance indicators such as prescription volume, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction. Resolve complex patient, provider, and insurance issues, including prior authorizations and claim rejections. Implement and support CVS Health clinical programs, digital tools, and innovative healthcare solutions. Promote a culture of safety, quality improvement, and continuous learning within the pharmacy team. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, payers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Support community health initiatives, preventive care services, and responsible medication disposal programs.
