This contract position requires a dynamic leader who can manage daily pharmacy functions while ensuring compliance, quality patient care, and efficient medication distribution in a specialized healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all pharmacy department activities, including staff management, budgeting, and workflow optimization. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies. Collaborate with healthcare providers to support optimal medication management plans for LTAC and rehab patients. Manage inventory control and procurement to maintain adequate supplies and reduce waste. Implement quality assurance programs to guarantee patient safety and medication accuracy. Provide training and mentorship to pharmacy staff to promote professional development and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current pharmacy license with eligibility to practice in Nevada. Proven experience as a Pharmacy Manager, preferably in a hospital or LTAC setting. Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, healthcare practices, and medication therapy management. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Verdi, Nevada, with work primarily at an LTAC/Rehabilitation hospital near Reno.
